Originally from Alberta, Dan attended the University of Alberta and Calgary to obtain his undergraduate, graduate and Medical degree. Subsequently he moved to Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where he completed his training in Neurosurgery. Following graduation he travelled to New York City and completed a complex spinal reconstruction fellowship and a masters degree in public administration at New York University. He returned to Victoria and now manages all spinal conditions and general neurosurgery including the Adult Hydrocephalus Clinic and guides the research program development and clinical fellowship program for VINF.
